Do you accept walk-ins or appointments only?

Since the average bathing and grooming times for dogs can last several hours, West Bark Dog Grooming only accepts customers by appointment. The good news is, we’ve made it simple and fast with our online booking system.

What if I don’t have my dog’s shot records?

Our number one priority at West Bark Dog Grooming is to provide a safe, relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for your pet. With that in mind, all dogs we service must have proof of their up-to-date shots and health status. Download and sign our Release Form here.

My dog gets anxious when getting groomed…can you help?

We make every effort possible to ensure a pleasant grooming experience for dogs of all dispositions. Some of our staff specialize in caring for dogs with anxiety or senior dogs who need extra TLC. However, if your dog becomes a danger to itself or our staff we reserve the right to end the appointment.

Can I stay and watch while you groom my pet?

Because your pooch loves and adores you, they will wiggle and move around trying to get close to you — which is unsafe for grooming. That’s why it’s best to drop off your pet at their scheduled appointment time and then come back when we’ve notified you that they’re finished. Please feel free to give us a call during the treatment to find out how your buddy is doing.

Are there benefits to dog grooming beyond my pet looking better?

Routine grooming can help your pup in a lot of different ways. It not only helps to removing irritants from the coat and skin like dirt, oils, and allergens, but it also provides an opportunity to detect parasite infestations or skin conditions that have gone unnoticed. In addition, grooming keeps nails trimmed to prevent snagging and infections, and is one of the best ways to prevent the painful condition of matting.
